Lack of Demand for High-Cap Magazines

With the sunset of the Brady Bill we have to admit that we fell for the anti-gun hype on the bum rush of automatic weapons and high-capacity magazines that would be bought.  Exactly the opposite has happened and with President Bush's re-election we say a dramatic drop in firearm requests.  We went from 12,000 requests per day down to 4300 over night and while its still early after the election it was a huge hit (or lack there of) on our search engine.  We feel this means that the industry will have to ramp up its commitments to shooting organizations this year.  We are hoping that we can continue to grow the shooting sports by no less than 30% in 2005.   So as the year wraps up that is our stated goal for 2005 is to see an increase of 30% in shooting sports in 2005.

I watch Neil Cavuto everyday from my office(its' an addiction I swear).  Regardless I find the information he puts out to be the most accurate over the long term and it really has helped us over the past years to keep up with market news in order to predict our markets movements.   Its my honest opinion that the next 14 months will see HUGE growth in the markets even with war looming against Iran and China-Oh I mean Korea.   We think that the re-election of the President will prove huge for the economy when young Wal-mart workers start putting their social security into the market.  This will mean huge growth, growing incomes and more loose money hanging around and that means our sport will explode if we are on the forefront of this growth instead of riding its coattails in 2006.

Whether or not the firearm industry and orgs take heed to my advice we will continue to grow because my employees have no choice but to listen to my advice.
